Director for GoodLife Projects - Rum Kitchen, Love Brunch, Love Affair, Drifters Festival
Gottwood. The setting, the crowd the intimacy and the music makes it my favourite. Weather you’re lost in the woods or chilling out in the day by the lake they have the perfect setting for every mood mixed with banging production.
CAMP, GLAMP, HOTEL OR FRIENDS HOUSE?
Previously stayed in tents but this year we were in Yurts or Bell tents at every festival. Although it may be a bit more expensive it’s a lot more fun having a Yurt as you can go and carry on the party together with space once the stages close.
Normally end up dressing a bit like a girl with Gold leggings, flashing shoes and a bright colored wig. Go with a bag full of clothes and end up not changing at all is normally the way. End up dancing with someone and slowly giving away parts of my outfit.
BEST FESTIVAL MOMENT?
2 Years ago on the Pagoda with around 30/40 of us all on completely the same level with the sun beaming down on us was up there. Africa burn was all one big highlight for me, amazing sun downs and ups and watching the stages burn was pretty mesmerizing. Along with climbing to the top of every stage and dancing looking down at a crowd full of party people.
TOP FESTIVAL TIP?
Set up as big a camp as possible so you're all together but big groups are hard to move so have two or three people with you that are on the same page and move at the same time. Hanging around is one of the most annoying things I find. And always take a mini rig.
WORST FESTIVAL MOMENT?
We hadn't quite made bed on the Saturday morning when my friend and I got the munchies. I went to order my salami pizza and mid order what I thought was going to be a silent fart turned into something else mid order. "Can I please get the salaaaaaaaamishit"
BEST PERFORMANCE YOU'VE EVER SEEN AT A FESTIVAL?
Honey dropping a Phil Collins remix at Gottwood was up their, Acid Pauli, Cold Play.
NEXT ON YOUR FESTIVAL HITLIST (WHERE HAVEN'T YOU BEEN WHERE YOU WANT TO GO?)
I've done nearly all UK festivals, Sonar, AfriKa Burn etc. Next for me is Brazil!
